Norikazu Oe began his relationship with ceramics early, attending a high school that specializes in ceramics training in Seto , one Japans foremost pottery centers.
After graduating he continued his training in Tajimi another of Japans famous pottery towns. Oe went independent in 1999 and currently works out of his studio in Gifu Prefecture.
Oe is well know for his "Shoyu Sashi" ( soy sauce pots) which exemplify his concern, equally with function as well as form. The beautiful small
pots are well designed to pour smoothly and assure that no sauce drips or runs when the pouring stops.
**All of Norikazu Oe's products are handmade. Please note that we have only one of each teapot and soy sauce pot. Plates and cups are available in multiples.
