Tenugui (hand towel)
Brand: Sfera
Made in Japan
Tenugui, hand dyed, multipupose cotton cloths have been an essential item for the Japanese for ages. They can be put to use as hand towels, dish cloths, decoratively or as furoshiki for wrapping. Designed with multiple uses in mind the ends are left unfinished and will fray after the first few washes.
Sfera's tenugi are made using the chusen coloring technique, making them reversible, with the leaf motif appearing on both sides of the fabric.
