The inspiration for these card holders came from display racks for traditional handheld paper fans that were long used by a fan maker in the historical city of Nara. Saruyama has reworked the design to be used for displaying cards or Cds.
The metal holders have purposely been left uncoated and the rusting that may occur on the surface gives a weathered antique look that is an element of the design.
The card holders which are extended to their full length when in use, collapse tightly for easy storage.
Available in two sizes for 3 or 5 cards.
