Wood -turner and furniture maker Shoji Morinaga takes his inspiration for his bowls from some modern woodturning masters, producing work that he himself would like to own. Most of his bowls are made of lightweight woods including Yamazakura ( cherry) and Ho no ki. Morinaga who has a background in industrial design, also runs a furniture service and shop in Japan.
