The nuri Wasara brand was born from a desire by design firm Sゝゝ(es ) to create a paper based tableware product that embodies a Japanese aesthetic and craftsmanship, while having a minimal impact on the environment.

Using traditional techniques, lacquer was applied to the original series of disposable Wasara paper tableware to create a new line a paper vessels with the same elegant forms but with a richly lacquered surface and a durability that allows each piece to be re-used many times.

nuri Wasara is alternative to ceramics for dinner parties, catering and events. The lightweight paper vessels, accentuate the cuisine and compliments the setting, with the benefit of being unbreakable and re-usable.

Packaging

Each piece of the nuri Wasara tableware comes packaged between two of the plain white disposable Wasara series products, making the packaging also usable.
