abyss (H12.2cm)
Hand-blown glass vessel from the "abyss" series / h 12.2cm x w 10.5cm
Glass artist Takeshi Tsujino incorporates the techniques of Venetian glass as the foundation of all his creations. The series of work he calls calls "abyss" is inspired by Roman glass from the 3rd & 4th century and the embellishments and patinas on the surfaces evoke the image of ancient glass vessels "submerged in the deep sea".
