A master craftsman of nambu tetsu, or traditional Japanese cast iron, Nobuho Miya works from his Kamasada ironware studio, founded by one of his ancestors in the Meiji era. He is that rare craftsman who has not only mastered the techniques of his chosen craft but also possesses an elegant sense of contemporary design.

The cast iron koudai bowl is food safe and is finished with an urushi coat that will help to prevent rust.
