Teshoku were designed with a long handle for portability, allowing the stand to be easily carried around the house with a lit candle. The 3 legs provide stability and reduce the chance of the stand being knocked over. The handle of the forged iron stand is bound with rattan, which, in addition to adding a decorative flair, makes it easier to hold.
